Hadn't paid attention to the improvements in the Diigo extension for Chrome. Just discovered that you can use it to do screen captures and mark them up at the same time with text, arrows and shapes.

Good looking site with easy access to resources. Maps out what your actions might be on Moodle for different times/needs.

Site to Phone is a free service designed to send links and text from your computer to your phone or tablet. Once you have a Site to Phone account you can download a selection of extensions and browser addons that let you send information to your phone. Once your phone is setup you can recieve the information by opening a homescreen app or bookmark. If you regularly type out links from your computers web browser onto your phone Site to Phone could save you a lot of time.

Excellent post on fair use, its flaws and the danger of copyright accusation without trial.  This is an example of remix and appropriation of an image where the author could not afford to go to court and potentially lose (multiple times $150,000) and so settled out of court at $32500.

Google hurriedly introduced business/brand pages feature into its latest social networking platform Google Plus (Google+) on Monday, to serve the equivalent of the ever popular Facebook Pages. It intends to serve as a means of promoting businesses and brands, whereas such feat is only attainable with great pool of users on hand.

backchan.nl is tool for involving audiences in presentations by letting them suggest questions and vote on each other's questions. backchan.nl is intended for conference or event organizers who want a new way to solicit questions from the audience and make better use of question and answer time.

Queen's University Belfast have a website which is provided for students to show evidence of learning and skills learnt from extra-curricular activities and achievements. "Many activities you participate in - whether you serve as a Course Rep or have a part-time job or are engaged in voluntary work - may be allowing you to acquire important employability skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and commercial awareness.  The Degree Plus Award allows these skills and this experience to be formally recognised" The Award is awarded by the University and is a 'value added' item which students can get in addition to their formal qualification. 

eLearning conferences for this year - more than you can count! So many conferences, so little time... (but ASCILITE 2012 isn't in this list - yet).
