What's in the toolkit? Web2Rights is a JISC project, funded from 1st November 2007 - 31st March 2009, whose purpose was initially to develop practical, pragmatic and relevant Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and other legal issues toolkits to support the projects funded within the JISC Users and Innovation Programme (U&I) in their engagement with next generation technologies.  The Web2Rights team, comprised of lawyers, consultants, learning technologists and pedagogic experts focussed upon the need to address cultural and practical obstacles in engaging with Web2.0, IPR and other legal issues. Working in close collaboration with JISC Legal and focussing upon the specific issues raised by the U&I community of users, they have created a number of resources to address a variety of legal issues which might arise.

Building on very small-scale work using MP3 files for summative feedback on one programme, the Sounds Good team will widen the focus to both formative and summative feedback in various disciplines at different educational levels. The experimentation will include delivering digital sound files containing feedback to students via a virtual learning environment, email and mobile devices such as widely-available MP3 players.

Interesting first year project that develops multiple skills (teamwork, digital literacy, library search, empathy, etc) through geting students to create walking tours of campus for different audiences. Uses Google maps and social media.

Class2Go is an open source platform(LMS?) is to be integrated with the edX platform and released on Github from June 1 2013. Will be interesting to see what its like...

It is intended to support project steering groups and management teams in further and higher education in decision-making in this area and focuses on: Changing people and culture.Working with existing institutional structures to influence organisational change.Embedding or aligning with strategies, processes, systems, initiatives and services.Creating usable tools and resources (as part of project outputs) to meet stakeholder needs.Developing commercial and open approaches to sustaining and embedding innovation.

As it reads in the blog we have set up for the project, The Writing Researcher: Inspiration, Creativity, Fluency  aims to: 1. promote and support writing as a creative, scholarly and collaborative enterprise, 2. encourage discussion and peer feedback in a distributed, shared environment, 3. establish an international, inter-disciplinary, inter-cultural peer network.
