    "NPR reports that Harvard physicist and professor Eric Mazur has largely gotten rid of the lecture in his classes, after finding that in lecture-based classes, students tend to commit to memory formulae and heuristics, but fail to develop deep understanding of concepts. Mazur has tried - and seemingly succeeded - to cultivate deeper learning with a combination of small group peer-instruction and a tight feedback loop based on in-class polling about particular problems."

    Excellent post on the blindness of the majority to discrimination on their part - often unintended but still existing because of their position of power.  It's something that we need to be conscious of since we all come from a position of being white, middle class, and majority male. It's not what we do in the office (but still needs to be applied there!) but how we think about the people we support and also how they might design for their classes.

Our collective goals were to bring a selection of articles on Latin American literature to featured article status (or as near as possible).
