RealPlaces Create your own street views and walk-thrus - 0 views

  •
RealPlaces is a web site where anyone can create and share ground-level navigable walk-thrus of any real place in the world. Urban, rural, indoors, outdoors, at your home or off the beaten path -- anywhere of interest! Share your neighborhood or campus, your business, property for sale, favorite hangouts, places you like to shop, a fantastic vacation spot or something as "boring" as your dorm room. Then bring your places to life with zoomed views, descriptions, comments or questions - which can be general or about specific views or objects of interest. Think about it like this: "RealPlaces begins where Google's StreetView ends!"

It's easy to do, whether you decide to link to places like Facebook for words you've already written or write something new specifically for your portrait. Bookr - 1 views

  •
Share & uses only Flickr images. Book may have as many pages as you want. PLUS: embedded search feature only searches Creative Commons MINUS: Cover page, the title is a fixed location. Inside pages are static in terms of layout - image on top; text (not sure the limit on # of characters) along the bottom. From what I can see, the search only results in a limited number of images from Flickr. Also, I do not see a citation section, so am not able to properly cite the images used. You can send your completed 'book' as an email attachment or embed it into a blog/webpage. NOTE: Once you click 'Publish' there is NO going back to edit.
