S'il est une question qui concerne aujourd'hui les dirigeants d'entreprises dans un contexte de transition entre « l'ancien monde » et « le monde numérique », c'est certainement « comment créer, transformer et capturer la valeur dans les écosystèmes numériques, alors même que la notion-même de valeur change dans un monde numérique » ? Pour permettre aux dirigeants d'entreprises de mieux anticiper ces mutations et notamment les indispensables évolutions de leurs modèles d'affaires, le CIGREF vient de présenter « Les Essentiels » du Programme international de recherche « Information Systems Dynamics », porté par la Fondation CIGREF. Avec ces « Essentiels », la Fondation CIGREF propose une synthèse de chacun des projets de recherche portés par le programme « ISD », programme lancé afin de « dessiner les contours possibles de l'entreprise de 2020, en tenant compte à la fois de l'histoire des usages des systèmes d'information dans l'entreprise et des émergences en cours ». Le programme ISD a retenu le design organisationnel comme perspective conceptuelle centrale, à partir de la prise en compte de cinq dimensions (ou tendances) en interaction : stratégique, organisationnelle, sociétale, technologique et réglementaire.

Le chiffre d'affaires sur Internet des journaux américains est très loin de compenser le recul de celui des éditions papier, indique une étude publiée lundi 5 mars. "Pour chaque dollar gagné dans le numérique, 7 dollars sont perdus en chiffre d'affaires papier", conclut cette étude du Pew Research Center.

"Since deregulation in the 1980s and the emergence of the commercial Internet in the 1990s, the telecommunications industry has faced disruptions and premature reports of its untimely demise. But the challenges have never been greater than now. The stock market has punished most large carriers while richly rewarding companies that compete with telcos. Since Google's IPO in 2004, its market capitalization has risen to about $150 billion, while the value of most operators in developed markets has fallen. The U.S. telecom industry has lost more than 100,000 jobs in the past five years and more than 400,000 in the last decade. The decline in wireless average revenue per user (ARPU), which began in the United States in 2006, has since spread to most major operators. Carriers are not standing still. They are rapidly reducing costs and trying to streamline operations1. These moves are necessary but not sufficient. The world is spinning too rapidly for restructuring as usual-no matter how deep-to keep working. Game-changing forces, such as cloud computing and "voice for free" services, are warping the industry. (See Exhibit 1.) Cloud computing, for example, exposes operators to competition from major IT players, while free voice services-led by Google, Skype, and others-threaten operators' main source of revenue."

Over the past several years, I've been writing about how government data is moving into the marketplaces, underpinning ideas, products and services. Open government data and application programming interfaces to distribute it, more commonly known as APIs, increasingly look like fundamental public infrastructure for digital government in the 21st century. What I'm looking for now is more examples of startups and businesses that have been created using open data or that would not be able to continue operations without it. If big data is a strategic resource, it's important to understand how and where organizations are using it for public good, civic utility and economic benefit.

If successful, the Kansas City rollout could set a benchmark for other companies to match

Les nouvelles solutions de maintien à domicile sont nombreuses et développées en grande majorité par des start-up ou des PME. Pour le moment, à part celles qui se sont orientées vers le marché des maisons de retraite (et hôpitaux) ou des conseils généraux, certaines peinent à trouver véritablement leur marché et à se développer. De nombreuses raisons ont été avancées pour expliquer cette situation comme le manque de politiques publiques, les moyens financiers faibles, la complexité des solutions techniques… Toutes expliquent en partie les difficultés. Mais même si l'ensemble de ces obstacles étaient levés, de nombreuses « géronsolutions » auraient encore des difficultés à se développer… probablement pour une raison essentielle : Certaines sont en avance de 10 ans par rapport au « time to market ».
