To date, the Earthducation team has completed 6 expeditions, beginning with a
pilot expedition to the Arctic in 2010, and then journeying to Africa, Europe,
Australia, South America, and Arctic North America for expeditions 1 through 5.
This gives the student and the teacher virtual on site experience with the culture
and environment of the different places. Student are able to make connections with
what is happening in the real world. There is directed collaboration on education
and sustainability in an international setting. There are some related lessons
available and links to other sites like National Geographic for related leaning
activities. This appears to require some added teaching strategies but is very
authentic.

This appears to be highly motivating and engages students in authentic leaning
by using technological data to make and justify decisions on current issues
such as where to build a hospital in San Francisco based on factors such as
seismic activity and population density. Helpful for teachers with limited
background knowledge in teaching geography. It has very good helps to assist
teachers in the TPACK domains and even management strategies.
