This is a Youtube channel that has a flipped grammar lessons. It is very useful for Arabic teachers using Al-Kitaab series. It allows them to use class time in activating knowledge more than explaining grammatical concept.

Students are encouraged to write their own lyrics to songs of their choice, translate them into the target language, record them (audio or video), and share with the world.  This is an excellent way of incorporating 21st century skills, ISTEs, ACTFL standards, and more.  This could require collabortion, too.    This project is 'owned' by the students - teachers just guide the process.  Many examples and support available.

An interesting blog by a teacher of languages and technology.  Three entries, "improving pronunciation using Speech-to-Text Apps", "Using Thinglink to prepare for the AP cultural comparison", and "using google drawing in language classes" have direct correlations to what we do and can use in our classrooms.  Google draw (found in Chrome's Google Drive) would be particularly helpful to practice writing Arabic or Chinese.  

While the use technology in language teaching classrooms has become increasingly more common, fewer teachers are comfortable using technology as they assess leaner progress. In this webinar on assessing language using computer technology, I will outline ways in which technology can be used to help inform the assessment of language learners.

This is a FREE language teaching MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) where language teachers can meet, learn, share, and explore. Great use of google groups for promoting dialogue.   Twitter on steroids.  

This has a lot of awesome tools like glogster and wordle. Some I already use and some will be awesome to look at.

A nice site for both students and teachers of French, German, Spanish and Welsh.  Click on Resources at the top of page to access language content.  Be sure to then click on the links on the left for individual language content.  Videos seem to be promising - especially for French.

I've found most educators, myself included, struggle with knowing how to appropriately use copyrighted resources as well as those with Creative Commons licensing. This tool is a nice addition to any educator's digital literacy reference library!

Bobby: I was in the same boat as you. I certainly couldn't expect my students to 'do the right thing' if I had no clue what to do!

LanguageGuide.org is an online language learning resource available in numerous languages ranging from English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, Dutch, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, to Korean. This illustrated vocabulary guide contains sound-integrated exercises at three levels -- beginner, intermediate, and advanced, and allows for independent practice at the learner's own pace. These practice exercises are appropriate for elementary and middle school students and this resource would be well suited on a teacher webpage. Thematic topics vary by language but generally include numbers, parts of the body, clothing, food, animals, weather, home, and school. There is an option menu on each screen for listening, speaking, and reading practice, as well as a quiz for students to check their comprehension. Some languages also feature a Grammar and Readings section for more advanced learners.

The Office of State Assessment for New York provides comprehensive exams for French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Latin, and Spanish. Available are past exams, teacher dictation sheets, and scoring keys including rubrics to assess student performance. Several past exams are provided for free.

This is a great resource for EFL teachers.  The site has the recent news articles delivered in three different levels based on learner ability. The site can be used for additional practice for EFL students or as homework.
