A Great Tool to Automatically Collect and Save Tweets to Google Sheets - 0 views

    "You can use Twitter Archiver to save tweets for instance, for brand mentions, tweets from a specific person, trending hashtags, geotagged tweets, and even to back-up your own tweets. Besides the actual tweet text mentioning your keywords, Twitter Archiver also captures other data related to the tweets include: details about Twitter user (e.g. their name, number of follows and followers, location, bio, profile image, verified or not), a link to the original tweet, date and time of the tweet,  the app from which the tweet was shared, number of retweets, and many more. 'The add-on is free though you can upgrade to premium edition to capture more search terms. The premium version also includes supports and polls twitter more frequently (every 10-15 minutes) to download new tweets."

NCDAE Blog - Institutional Guidelines on Captioning - 0 views

    There are 3 categories of audio or video recommendations that I found. Each had slightly different requirements for faculties or staffs: Real time meetings or online courses in real time. Here the recommendations are mainly to contact the Disability Resource Office well ahead of the need to set up a real time captioning service if there is an individual who needs it, or if it will be archived online for more than one term. There is also the important guidance to set it up and test it in the same environment before it will be used. Audio or video materials that faculty or staff produce and upload onto the institutional web (this includes courses). The prevailing wisdom is that if the faculty produce it themselves, they should also take responsibility for captioning; whether they do it themselves or not. Considering how easily this can be done in YouTube with a transcript and the synch captions feature, it is probably not too high a bar for someone who has the sophistication of producing the video in the first place. Of course it requires that a transcript is available or produced. Audio or video materials that faculty or staff find for use (e.g., link or upload materials from other sources). On this point there seem to be differences across institutions around what faculty and staff members should do. The section below details these differences.

#oops! Gov. Markell's tweet includes suggestive photo - 0 views

    Gov. Jack Markell is creating a stir on Twitter this morning after a suggestive photo was included in a tweet from his account to promote an education event intended to assist disadvantaged students. Markell, or likely someone tweeting on his behalf, sent out the tweet this morning during an event at Warner Elementary in Wilmington about 10:30 a.m. It included a link to the photo and was deleted 17 minutes later, according to the website Politwoops, which archives tweets posted then deleted by politicians.

Under current copyright terms - life plus 70 years for natural authors, and 95 years from publication for works of corporate authorship - you're unlikely to see any works created in your lifetime enter the public domain.
