storify- discussed in class. Allows you to create a story 'layer' over multiple social media conversations... pull out pictures, comments of most value etc. a method of curation
In order to fulfill the task of analyzing and presenting their Twitter activity, students would need to use an alternative to Storify. Unfortunately, I did not have a backup plan (i.e. a selection of other curation tools for them to use.) So we took this list of 40 curation tools, divided it up among the students in the class (each student tackled 2 of the items on the list), and quickly evaluated each one to see if it would fit our needs. If you'd like to take a look at the results of this evaluation, you can view the GoogleDocs spreadsheet that resulted from my students' work.
"Carol Dweck's "growth mindest" has a lot to offer learners, both in school and out of school. This Storify collects some resources you can use to get started."
What happens when 250-300 amazing, creative, forward-thinking people converge for one wild weekend in exotic Wilmington, Del.? Well, Podcamp East, of course! #pceast #netde
The last weekend of September ended the month wonderfully with a fantastic conference in Wilmington, Delaware : Pod Camp East. A smaller conference atmosphere than many other social media events, the setting made for great dialogue and opportunity to really get involved with participants & speakers.
