When I read the students blogs some of them said that this is where they attend school. I was curious about what their schools are like and wanted to learn more so this is why I chose this site. I wondered if all schools are like this one in Uganda.
  •
I chose this website because when I looked at the student's blogs I saw that some of them said they were students here. I was wondering if they use this website as much as Penn State students use ours. We're constantly using e-mail and accessing our courses online. I also wanted to get a feel for what their school is like.

I chose this website because I do not know much about the Uganda schools for art or art history. This website caught my eye because it described the history of that as well as gave examples of different types of schools

Let Art Talk - 3 views

"Let Art Talk" really focuses on collaboration and using art as a way to bring the community together. The statement emphasized in the banner of their webpage is "Empowering communities through art", and artists strive to face social problems head-on and help others overcome these obstacles by using art as a way to creatively express themselves.

Chips and chaps sounds great! This dish reminds me of Indian food and also Ecuadorian food! It makes me wish I lived somewhere else besides the United States so that I could eat fresh, simple and local food like this more often. Even though I have that choice in the U.S., it isn't the same.

In class we watched a video of women from Ugana dancing with ceramic containers on their heads. I thought it was really cool, and this website offers African Dance Classes. I also just really liked the artwork on the page of the jemba drum.

I'm very interested in other countries wildlife and vegetation. Since this is what is part of everyday life, I think it is interesting to know what it is like when you walk outside in the morning.

When I searched for images of "Ugandan people" the majority of images I saw that included white people were aid workers. Is this mostly true? That the majority of white people who are present in Uganda are aid workers?

When thinking about Uganda, I learned about the country directly near it called Tanzania. So this is the perception I have and I chose to look at the Zanzbar doors because they are my favorite from my art hisory class. I picture close living situations but homes and peoples living areas being uniquely to them. I have no idea if this is how Uganda is, but this is somehting that I wonder about.
