"When we're working with our K-8 students it is always a concern that students privacy and anonymity be maintained. Most sites require users to register so they can sign in to use the resource. Many educators will create an account and log students in to use a web 2.0 resource in the library, lab or classroom as a variety of sites provide for education accounts. The extra steps necessary to set up such accounts might take time that any librarian or teacher finds hard to locate in their busy day. Surely too a majority of us are quite tired of remembering every username and password we create for ourselves let alone keeping track of those of our students. We also wonder how many footprints we are leaving on the web. Below are some sites that can be used without creating an identifying username, email or password. All sites were tested, Some have examples on the example pages."

This site allows you to generate a help URL so friends and family can send you instant screen recordings to help troubleshoot computer issues. Share the e-mail with those who share computer issues with you. No software or download required....Simply click, record, and submit. An e-mail is sent to you with a link to a page where you can go and view the flash recording of the screencast. URL expires in 7 days from time or recording, but screencasts can be downloaded in mp4 format. 5 minute time limit. Easy enough to use with students....save screencasts for posting on your website. Very quick and easy to learn and use!

The Futures Channel was founded in 1999 with the goal of using new media technologies to create a channel between the scientists, engineers, explorers and visionaries who are shaping the future, and today's learners who will one day succeed them.

" disrupt yourself...before your competitor does". Why not either a) Have a half day or session with your team to create your competitor's business. How would you start a new business which would knock your socks off....then use the ideas for your own! OR b) If you can afford it why not put a team of people onto creating a fabulous competitor. Give them a separate unit to run and let them give you a run for your money. You could also challenge the local college or University students to do it as part of their development."
