This is so screwed. I believe that a very prevalent issue which more or less describe our generation was a lack of discipline. I think as a parent it is important that you follow through with the ultimatum's you provide, as the dad talked about in the article. If it becomes this issue of always providing for your kids and never punishing them for their rude or disrespectful behavior, you get this generation of young adults who never know what it's like to not get what you want. If you want my opinion, the concept of spanking (only when necessary), is the key to raising mature and respectful teenagers, with the proper mind set of how to act.

I think that people have to act appropriately when they join the military but with that being said it isn't a CHOICE for Israeli teenagers so they have to join even if they're still immature kids. I think there should be a degree of leniency for them considering they still are teenagers and sometimes just have to act out and be a kid.

I think this is a death wish for apple because up til now, although they don't have all the perks that droids have, they can sell their simplicity factor year after year after year. If they make this move, It will be much less convenient to have a phone in your pocket along with the watch on your wrist. I believe this will be a huge turnoff to customers and I will start converting people to droid.

I find it screwed up that we (American's) are still arguing over gun rights and possible punishments for breaking them meanwhile we have a harmless student who is being charged as an adult. I think our judicial system needs to start realizing which possession-of-weapon related crimes are valid and which aren't. Right now it seems as if that line is completely blurred. Hopefully that can be fixed.

I think you could tell a lot about a person by what they're willing to join a frat. I dont know if it has something to do with a lack of friends throughout their childhood or what but for me personally there is nothing that would be worth this kinda of abuse. I think it's important that colleges and universities really crack down on this frat behavior and make sure that kids don't have to fully embarrass themselves for a clique.

This is a very good article but I think a key detail left out is what type of gun is assigned to the teachers. Obviously a handgun has much less firepower and ammo capacity than an assault rifle, shotgun, or sniper. This detail could easily change people's opinions on whether or not the law is appropriate. Another problem I see with the article is the ending. The whole topic is very serious and the author takes a very serious approach but he ends with anecdotes of people's misuse of firearms which, although it is relevant, can seem very humorous.

I think this is a very well written article because they have an array of interviews that can support the accusations being presented in the article. I think they need another article, possibly an editorial, going over more of the ethics of the article because although this is a terrific news story, there are serious ethical problems this can cause and those need to be assessed separately. Another issue is that if the students were granted anonymity, the publication probably shouldn't have put the anonymous name next to the real life teacher they TA'd for. This easily narrows down who the person can be and makes their anonymity virtually worthless.

I think this could be really great in sports because the brief writers and multimedia people could work together so the writer could mention a play in the game and a clip of the play could be shown on the right. Also, their could be quotes from post game interviews in the brief along with full length interview clips available on the right.

In the redwood article, they state the reasons for why team was being considered for discontinuation and they don't state how a key problem is the TYPE of students in team. It isnt just that a lot of people dont get in, it's that the people who do get in, are kids that are performing fine in normal schools. The tam news on the other hand includes this piece. One thing i believe the bark did well was insert the point that Ford was retiring in the middle of the story instead of saying it at the beginning like we did. The key issue was the subject as a whole not him retiring. Overall, I believe that we posted the article at the right time. We had solid, truthful, information, informative quotes, and an organized format. In circumstances where we don't have all of these characteristics then we should probably wait to post the article until it is ready.
