(1888PressRelease) Uncovering medicare scams latest news articles for general public to use. U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Miami, has reintroduced legislation that would double the amount of fines and incarceration for people in prison for Medicare fraud/scam. It also creates a new criminal offense punishable with a 10 year minimum sentence for those who intentionally sell or distribute the ID numbers of Medicare beneficiaries. According to the Springhill Group, the legislation also bars those who have been part of Medicare dupery in the past from billing Medicare if they switch companies. It also facilitates real-time information sharing among law enforcement agencies to aid in uncovering and dismantling Medicare scams. "South Florida has been known as the epicenter of Medicare dupery for years," she said. "It is time we took the fight to those who seek to defraud Medicare and prey on our most vulnerable citizens. This bill not only raises the penalties for those who engage in Medicare fraud, but also sets up a pro-active paradigm that will help stem the tide of abuse in South Florida and across the nation."The bill takes particular aim at Medicare theft in Miami-Dade County, widely regarded as the nation's capital of healthcare dupery. Medicare dupery in South Florida costs taxpayers between $3 billion and $4 billion every year, according to law enforcement and healthcare officials. Nationwide, Medicare and other healthcare fraud is estimated to cost $68 billion each in very year. http://springhillmedgroup.com Springhill Group | Redgage » Making healthy choices, Living healthy life%u2026.. Springhill Group Home : Demand for personal care aides expected to grow | RedGage - 0 views

As the American population grows rapidly, the field of healthcare becomes alert of the upcoming strong demand for senior healthcare providers. view link here: http://www.redgage.com/blogs/trishakolens/springhill-group-home-demand-for-personal-care-aides-expected-to-grow.html Personal care providers do not really do physically invasive therapies and are not under the supervision of a nurse, there are no existing federal qualifications in place for this profession. However, nursing aides are required by government to have certain certifications to ensure their capabilities. It is an essential measure to protect the senior population. For instance, a caregiver who is not alert may effectively endanger his charge and lead to disastrous results. Several states do have regulations in place to address the caregiving sector. In California, each county has to keep a record of healthcare providers that consists of background checks and referrals. While in Washington, aides should have finished 75 hours of basic training and pass an exam. However, others seem to be more focused on direct care providers in general when establishing relevant legislation. Actually, most of the elderly only needs assistance in day-to-day activities and do not need a medical professional to look after them. This is where the legislators need to address. Creating policies that concern caregivers is essential to the long-term care policy of any country. With the growing number of elderly people, the need for safe and effective caregiving for seniors is imperative.

Nurturing knowledge among community is a significant purpose for every organization. This website has been aims to help people find out more about counselling Psychotherapists are starting to become more alert on the reality of how dangerous the double-edged nature of their profession is. Being effective in addressing client concerns is only but a part of the job - keeping your head is just as important. Just like how a clean broom can get all dirty and messed up through continuously doing its work of cleaning the floor, so can the therapist get vulnerable to difficult feelings by dealing with clients. Psychotherapists are indoctrinated early on that they need to be emotionally stable to cope with the challenges of the profession. And oftentimes, it's that very thing that can make a therapist struggle. It's as if they are not allowed to feel emotions like boredom and exhaustion. They were taught that having struggles with work as a psychotherapist are all because of your own personal issues or mere lack of experience. Unfortunately, issues that are not addressed properly can eventually lead to burnout. You can be effective in your job but still feel stressed, frustrated or self-doubt. Most therapists are aware that work issues tend to affect personal relationships. Exhausting someone's emotional capacity in such a line of work can result in him having none left for interacting with family members. They are not alert to the fact that, being also a human, they have personal feelings towards their career that can come to the surface. And in fear of being labeled unprofessional, they refuse to recognize those emotion and just continue going through their daily routine. To add to their burden, they cannot

Springhill Home Care Group: Mid-life stress 'precedes dementia' http://springhillcaregroup.net/archives/269 Current evidence suggest the best ways to reduce the risk of dementia are to eat a balanced diet, take regular exercise, not smoke, and keep blood pressure and cholesterol in check" - Dr Simon Ridley Alzheimer's Research UK According to the latest research, women who suffer from a lot of stress in middle age may increase their risk of developing dementia in later life. Furthermore the study says that mid-life stress may increase a woman's risk of developing dementia. Eight hundred women were subjected to study and they have found out that those who had to cope with events such as divorce or bereavement were more likely to get Alzheimer's decades later. BMJ Open reports says, the more stressful events there were, the higher the dementia risk became. According to the study authors, stress hormones may be to blame, triggering harmful alterations in the brain. Many changes in the body is caused by stressed hormones, it can also affect many things like blood pressure and blood sugar control. And they can remain at high levels many years after experiencing a traumatic event, Dr Lena Johansson and colleagues explain. However they also claim that they need more work to verify their findings and determine whether the same stress and dementia link might also occur in men. The study went like this, the women underwent a battery of tests and examinations when they were in either their late 30s, mid-40s or 50s, and then again at regular intervals over the next four decades. One in four women said at some part in the start of the study that they had experienced at least one stressful event, such as widowhood or unemployment. A comparable proportion had suffered at least two stressful events, whereas one in five had experienced at least three. The remaining women had either experienced more than this or none. Four hundred twenty five of the women died and 153
