The seven tips here offer some advice if you want to read faster while maintaining reading comprehension. Following up on the work of Serra and De Villiers, and in the spirit of recent discussions about the success Bloom's Taxonomy has had in penetrating classrooms, I present the Hexagon of Proof. There are six components to the Hexagon of Proof. Learning is a messy affair that doesn't follow any sort of strict hierarchy, so a math classroom should involve all six of these aspects of proof. Still, if teachers find that their students are having trouble proving things in some area in math, students may benefit from time spent disagreeing over or debating some related mathematical propositions.

Digital literacy looks beyond functional IT skills to describe a richer set of digital behaviours, practices and identities. "Pre-teen gifted readers often run into a problem around the age of ten: as younger children they read everything in children's literature that they could get their hands on. By the time they reach ten years old, they're starting to run into roadblocks when looking for appropriate books. Some ten-year-olds are ready to go on to Young Adult fiction, but most aren't. Young Adult, with its focus on teens' changing bodies and questioning of their place in the world, is often inappropriate and sometimes very upsetting for "tweens" who have outgrown children's books but are looking for meaty reading to satisfy their literary cravings."

"By focusing on Global Digital Citizenship every day for 15 minutes, you can instil in your students a strong basis for Internet-savvy skills for the 21st Century. This is the first in a series of templates for lesson plans on the 21st Century Fluencies. You take this lesson in parts; one part each day. You can spread this out over a couple weeks time or however you wish. The premise for our 15 minutes comes in the form of flipped videos or material that students will examine at home, or at the very least to be highlighted and watched in class for 15 minutes or less.
