Integrating technology doesn't have to consume your life as an educator.

Sometimes teachers and schools have a hard time developing appropriate rules for this balance. Dr. Kallic discusses the need to think about the rules that we have and the ones we have had in the past. We need to think about making adjustments to these rules.

Likewise, it is up to learning managers to determine when to ask students and teachers to turn their devices off; that is, to unplug so we can talk, think, and collaborate face to face. On/Off. It's balanced. It's healthy.

The fact that their technology is so invisible to them is their Achilles Heel. Because they don't see it, they don't think to question it.

nstead of banning the devices that we know our students love, we should figure out how to use them to engage our students. Rather than banning them from the classroom, we should be showing students how to use them appropriately.

Teaching students how to use those tools properly and finding a balance between technology and other hands-on methods of learning is what really makes sense

So what’s a person to do? Take a break, of course! But first, let’s examine the causes of all this digital stress. Then we can dive into some of the side effects of it all. Finally, we’ll look at how to fix all the digital stress and turn you into a well-oiled stress-free digital citizen
