We’ve refined the concept of flipped PD in response to this need for on-going, any time, any place, any pace professional learning

We now only have two staff meetings a year and those are far from traditional meetings. The remainder of our professional learning occurs within school based PLN teams, individually based PLNs, and grade level teams.

While their time isn’t monitored, their productivity is

PLNs are a powerful change agent. And in today’s world an online professional learning network is indispensable.

I began to build my personal learning network (PLN) I didn’t know a hashtag from a MT. But I knew something exciting was happening for educators on Twitter

Building a professional Learning Network consisting of quality educators, who responsibly share quality information and sources, takes time and requires a plan. It is my belief that the people you follow are far more important than those who follow you.

How do you find those quality educators to follow in order to add value to your PLN?

It is an excellent manual for administrators too, who want to transform educational practice in their schools or districts to capitalizes on 21st century technologies.

PLN, they never get where I find the time.  Besides the fact that I make both of those things a priority, I am always trying to explain that being part of both actually save me time in the long run

How ever you approach your PLN you must keep the key principle in mind; it needs to be Personal.
