    A drug is any psychoactive chemical substance which changes the behavior, feeling and physiology of a user. Drugs can influence how a person thinks, feels and behaves. Drug can exist in many forms such as in powder, liquid, pill or herbal form. Drugs can be consumed, inhaled, smoked or injected into the body. A drug may be useful or harmful to the body depending on how it is used. Types of Drugs There are four main groups of drugs, namely stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens and opiates. Drugs are normally categorized accordingly to their effects. Stimulants are drugs that speed up nerve impulses. Caffeine is a stimulant found in both coffee and tea. It is not harmful if taken in small amounts. Another type of stimulant called amphetamines, however, are harmful. Ecstasy is an example of this amphetamine. Ecstasy makes the user feel energetic, gives a sense of confidence and increases his heartbeat as well as body temperature.
