As technology in schools continues to advance, teachers must be on the lookout for ways to integrate new technology into the classroom. This website overviews 30 science apps for IPad covering topics such as physics, chemistry, anatomy, geology, weather and the solar system among many others. Most are free, but some charge a small fee and would be suited to many grade levels, at least grades 3-12. I would use to introduce or supplement a lesson, but could also see this as a treat for kids ready to work ahead.

Teach your child about saturation, evaporation, and crystallization with a simple kitchen concoction that will leave her hungry for more chemistry." Who doesn't love food? I know kids do! This website outlines the materials and process necessary to make crystallized lollipops. This allows for the students to understand concepts of boiling water, dissolving, super saturation, evaporation, etc. Science concepts can even be explained using something as fun as food-and the lesson can end with a yummy treat!

I chose this as an activity resource. This would be a great activity to do with students near the end of the school year after they have gotten the hang of creating their own solutions and putting them to the test to see if they work out well. This particular activity treats a water balloon as a brain and students construct a "skull" made out of different objects to keep the brain safe and secure when it's dropped from a certain height. I would use this with many different materials for students to use so we could study the outcome of all of the materials and then complete some kind of chart or graph to show our findings.
