    This seems like a fun advanced application of skills for students with the iPods or for teachers.

    This can only be used with the Android OS. Programs for the iOS are created with the language Objective C which I would not recommend for most students. There is an open source MIT project, called Scratch, that makes programming achievable for students. http://scratch.mit.edu/

    This appears to be about the same as Glogster which I have heard a lot about on Twitter. I haven't had the time to delve into it too far (we just got our student machines yesterday!) but I do know that Glogster has edu accounts which have some advantages.
