I really enjoyed our infographics seminar in PC8006 last week and the ethical implications of infographics. There's many out there but I thought this one was sweet and simple, and has a sort of 'rules list' that some infographic designers are choosing to abide by.

An infographic depicting the growth of Internet usage and technology from 2002 to 2012. Mashable is also a great resource that reports on the importance of digital innovation. Another daily read of mine.

As more people turn to brands on Facebook, it's important to know why they do-or don't-click "like." Consider these new findings. I find this surprising. Maybe because I don't "like" brands on Facebook to avoid a cluttered page and newsfeed. Personally, seeing a brand's post all the time would turn me away from the brand. I'm not sure why, but I still seem to have this mentality that Facebook brand pages aren't as "legit". But that's just me. Check out the infographic.

I love info graphics. This one is interesting (ex. it points out that men are usually early adopters of technology, but 79% of Pinterest users are female), but definitely leaves me with some questions. Check it out.

As we are all likely looking for visual examples of creative infographic designs I thought this was a fun reference point. Tracing James Bonds sexual conquests through all his films highlights a great example of a timeline - something we need to include in our final poster.

This infographic by MBAOnline.com shows tech use by different generations during the day. Slightly suspicious of the amount of radio use.

Interesting how this demographic is increasing its presence on social networks. Something to keep in mind for future digital marketing strategies. "Moms social network a lot. How much? Eight out of ten (80 percent) use social media regularly, with 90 percent of those having visited Facebook in the past 30 days, and just over one-third (37 percent) hanging out on Twitter over that same period."

I'm passionate about water conservation so I find the content really interesting on this site, but content aside - this is an awsome example of how to properly use infographics. Great elements of visual design!

This is a cool infographic about how small businesses use social media. It is clear that Facebook and Twitter are still the most popular options for small businesses.

When we talk about sharing online, we often forget that through sharing, credibility and accountability for copyright is lost.

Interesting how use of social media is becoming less frowned upon in the work environment especially in the fields of marketing, PR, customer service etc. What are your social media habits in the workplace?
