As these chemical do not break down, we are now conscious of the fact that their presence is going to be a long term problem. Furthermore, Greenpeace states that these chemicals disrupt hormone function, making the situation more real and personal. Lastly, Greenpeace makes this issue hit home and persuades the reader to realize that this is not just an issue in China. Rather, across the ocean in North America, we too are affected by the use and release of these chemicals into water.       • Cancers that are closely linked to certain behaviors are the easiest to prevent. For example, choosing not to smoke tobacco or drink alcohol significantly lower the risk of several types of cancer - most notably lung, throat, mouth, and liver cancer. Even if you are a current tobacco user, quitting can still greatly reduce your chances of getting cancer. Skin cancer can be prevented by staying in the shade, protecting yourself with a hat and shirt when in the sun, and using sunscreen. Diet is also an important part of cancer prevention since what we eat has been linked to the disease. Physicians recommend diets that are low in fat and rich in fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Certain vaccinations have been associated with the prevention of some cancers. For example, many women receive a vaccination for the human papillomavirus because of the virus's relationship with cervical cancer. Hepatitis B vaccines prevent the hepatitis B virus, which can cause liver cancer. Some cancer prevention is based on systematic screening in order to detect small irregularities or tumors as early as possible even if there are no clear symptoms present. Breast self-examination, mammograms, testicular self-examination, and Pap smears are common screening methods for various cancers.

It achieves ethos as she becomes a more credible candidate as well as logos because "if she was the first woman from Minnesota than why can't she be the first woman president". It's interesting that she's not looking at the camera but rather up and to the side. Might have been done because she looks better from this angle, or potentially to show her as ambitious and aspiring. -also note her husband's smiling picture located underneath the video.           Bachmann logo found here at the top as well as at the very bottom serves to authenticate the document. It's symbolic of an official stamp or even the presidential seal. Of note are the stars (again the allusion to success and winning, as well as patriotic); the red, white, and blue classic American colours; and the red and white stripes through the 'H' in Bachmann which allude to the American flag. The authenticity of the stamp appeals to the logic (logos) of the viewer as well as adding to Bachmann's credibility (ethos). The patriotic symbolism appeals to the strong patriotic emotions of the visitors.

          Another purpose of the site is to bring in donations from supporters to fund her campaigning. Notice how the donate button is coloured red so to stand out and draw attention.
