This article is about the statistical relationship between people who are in poverty and people who are sexually abused. It shocked me to see the direct correlation between people in poverty and those that are raped.

When I read the article I wonder what other abuses lead people to quit their jobs and live in poverty.

This article is about how the homeless are sheltered. It is the website of an organization that oporates an emergency shelter. I was happy to see how much came with the shelter and that people weren't just thrown into an empty space.

I agree with Miranda, i was happy to see that the people got housing and were not all thrown into one room with a bunch of other people, and some blankets. That would make me feel really appreciated.

Proverty effects people in many ways hunger, homelesness and more. In this artical I learned where hunger stricks the most in the world. I also saw how the rate of hunger has changed though out history to today. It hurt me to find out that "world hunger" is 925 million people.

I thought that it was really sad when they said that one of the reasons people are in poverty is because they are disabled mentally or physically. Another reason that people are in poverty is because they have little to no education which is one reason they can't get a job. I thought that these were reasons that we take for granite everyday. We complain about going to school, but i bet most people in poverty wish they were where we are now.

This website gives good information about poverty all around the world. (ex: Africa, Europe, Asia, America.) I read the one about Africa. there biggest struggle is hunger. Food prices have risen alot in the past couple years, so its harder then ever to buy cheap food.

This article talks about 11 effects of homelessness on teenagers. Some of them were incredible shocking. Like the statistic that 1 in four homeless youth have traded sex for survival needs. It was also sad that one in 260 homeless youths is murdered

it might declan but the stress for young poor kid in love to make ends meets are usually a reason to break up. its easier to substain yourself with some nutricious than provide both of you with raman noodles. so in theory this could cause malnutrision too!

This article is about people in Africa that live off 1 US dollar. Also it is about how wars in Africa can affect the people by higher poverty rates and really bad farming policys . Country's at war that are in Africa get 12.5 % less food per each person.

Pretty much just some statistics on poverty and hunger in the US. One fact i thought was suprising was "Nearly one in four children is at risk of hunger. Among African-Americans and Latinos, one in three children is at risk of hunger."

This site talked about ways to help with poverty. I liked how it listed different sites you could go to for more information and besides that really just educated the reader. I feel that it's format could have been different though so as not to bore the reader.

That is rediculous how many people die every year from poverty! I cant even begin to imagine what it would be like to live in a situation like those people were in. Not having enough food, or a warm place to sleep at night

This tells how poverty is measured is the U.S.A. It surprised me how many "qualifications" you have to have.

Why do is it so hard to be poor. It would help more people if the qualifications were easier to make.

Stopping extreme poverty is somehwhat very difficult. But these people think its very possible. they think poverty can be reduced in the year 2015 and can be extremly reduced in the year 2025.
