Poverty and Crime - 4 views

This article is explaining that crime is evident in places that are high in poverty. It also states tat there are many others factors of poverty that lead to other things rather then just crime. They are also explaining how high unemployment leads to smaller crimes like stealing. I think that this is sometimes true, but that not all people in poverty steal to get food. There are other ways to get food legally.

Factors of Poverty; The Big Five - 3 views

This article is full of information about how poverty starts and keeps on growing with no help of stopping it. There are many factors and causes that are explained on how families or individuals can't pull themselves out of poverty. I think that when they were explaining the causes of disease, then said that the knowledge of a cause won't solve it, but knowing the factors that lead it it will help us to better understand the ways to fix it. I think that this is very true and should be aware to all.

This article has many frequently asked questions about poverty. It contains many facts about poverty and how it has changed over time, how it differs between different races, and how it is measures depending on how many people live in a household. I was surprised when i saw the graph of the poverty in different races. The poverty in thousands was pretty much the same until you got down to the asian percent. It was considerably lower then any other race which surprised me.
