This website included 25 tips on how to run a successful fundraiser in a school. Considering the Music Department hosts many fundraisers each year I decided that these tips could help me to evaluate what we are doing right and what changes we could make to become more successful. One idea I appreciated was to avoid doing the "small" fundraisers. While I had thought that any amount of money would be helpful, this site pointed out that parents and students begin to suffer from "fundraising fatigue" when they are asked to participate in multiple events. Also, although we have the same fundraisers every year, we are very bad about letting parents know at the beginning of the year the different fundraisers we will need help with. This website suggests to let parents and students know as soon as possible what the group will need their participation in. I thought this was a helpful website in because they presented their information in an eye-catching and a simply put way. Also, they would give a bullet point of helpful information, and then divulge further to explain their reasoning.

This website had some helpful tips on how to be a good facilitator of a group discussion. There were a few things I found particularly helpful. I liked what the article said about being the "pacemaker" of the meeting. This would entail making sure that the group was moving through the bullet points of the discussion at an appropriate rate. I also thought that the advice to critique the plausibility of an idea was helpful. Many times during my discussions with the Music Department officers I've run into these issues. The article gave advice on how to deal with problematic situations when in a group discussion. Overall, it was a very informative article.

If you are looking at how to teach kids in general, this site is interesting because the information is broken down, and there is general ideas of how young kids learn.

This website describes some common mistakes that you might make on the common app. With all the stress in applying to college, it is easy to let the little things, such as typos, fall under our radar. By checking this website you can make sure that your common app is accurate before you submit it to any schools.

This website proved a task list for college bound seniors, month by month and task by task. This is very helpful because it helps you remember to do everything, such as filed the Fafsa or make sure your test scores are sent to the right schools. It seems that the busiest month is September and October, which is over now, thankfully!

This is an interesting article. It gives advice, but it also highlights the fact that students, especially seniors, should remain calm. Just because you do not get into your dream school does not mean your life will be over. And handling the bulk of work with a calm mind will help you produce better work, and ultimately a better application. How do most of you guys stay calm during the admission process?

He speaks briefly about the extinction of wolves seventy years ago, and how humans fear wolves because they are so socially intelligent and are similar to humans. Monbiot speaks further about how the absence of wolves and how that impacted the ecosystem of Yellowstone.

A 1990 documentary filmed in the Sawtooth Mountains. Jim and Jamie Dutcher follow what comes to be called "The Saw Tooth Pack." The couple follows the pack in a close and detailed fashion, naming the wolves. The roles of different wolves and the class system of a large wolf pack are a big part of this documentary.

This BBC documentary "Wolf Pack" follows the integration of Canadian wolves into Yellowstone after the extinction of Grey Wolves in North America. The documentary follows the largest wolf pack, the "Druid Peak Pack," in Yellowstone through a huge growth in the wolf population of the pack and of Yellowstone park. The film is detailed and well made, not only does is show the dynamics of the Druid pack but also Grey Wolves in general.
