Found this very interesting. It is nice to see a breakdown of many areas of the body a therapist must know how to deal with and what procedures they go through to start the healing process.

Controversial Treatments - 0 views

  •
This website/ blog addresses the issue in repair of the rotator cuff. Different doctors and therapist will all have their own personal opinions on how they believe certain things should be treated to the best interest of the patient. It is interesting that there are so many different ways you could go about rehabilitation and still arrive with similar results depending on the process.

female knee injuries - 0 views

This is a great journal from athletic training that goes in to great detail as to how a diagnosis proceeds and what treatment follows. It is interesting to see the professional level and seriousness of each technique that is used in any injury to gather some glimpse of the steps I will need to go through hopefully one day.

Kinesio Tape - 0 views

This is something that I am interested in learning how to do. I have heard that it is very difficult but if done the right way can really help the athlete out. Many pro and collegiate athletes have started to wear these custom tapings to help performance and technique.

Second Impact Syndrome - 0 views

  •
This is a site telling about second impact syndrome. This is when a person has a second concussion before the first one is healed. It is often deadly and has only recently come into the spotlight in athletic injury news. It is just something I am interested in. Controversial because of the many varying views on how long it takes for a concussion to heal completely.

BPA controversy - 0 views

  •
BPA is a toxic chemical released from plastic water bottles, and even baby bottles. There has been some controversy over if BPA is actually harmful to our body in the amounts we are recieving from using the plastic. One of the best ways to reduce our exposure is to never put hot water in a bottle or leave a bottle in the car and reuse it.
