This place is pretty much what I am interested in doing for a career. They take volunteers here, so if you need hours for PT school prerequisites, try this place!
I'm addicted to this magazine! It has articles on working out, as well as nutrition and beauty for women. There is also a Men's Health out there for the guys.
I prefer being barefoot to wearing shoes. This article takes the shoes/no shoes controversy and turns it around, so that instead of saying barefoot is better simply because it is more natural, but also saying that shoes are damaging our feet.
This is an awesome website, that I am sure most people are aware of, but it lets you check the weather before you, you know, go outside, hike a mile to class in rain and tornado winds...
This is the organization for everything USA triathlon. It has news on all the big races, information on tri regulations, and registered triathlon clubs (UNCWs tri club is on there!)
This website lets you track how far you've traveled by working out. Then you can look at your personal stats, and it'll tell you how much you've burned. For instance, I've logged about 550 miles, and according to daily mile, I've powered 389 TVs and burned off 226 doughnuts.
This website has a directory of health schools and health care degrees, as well as information on some not as well known careers in health like massage therapy and phlebotomy (click on it to find out what that is!)
For anyone that likes to race, this is a central website where you can register for triathlons, road races, and 5ks to marathons. Its based on region, so from Wilmington you can register for races in NC, VA, and SC.
Great yoga center right off of Oleander. It has a bunch of different types of classes like vinyasa and hot yoga for all levels of experience. There is also a student discount!
