The Psychology Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research will be providing presentation awards ($100 gift cards to Amazon) to students of CUR members who are presenting at the following  regional undergraduate research conferences: Rocky Mountain Psychological Association (RMPA), Midwestern Psychological Association (MPA), Eastern Psychological Association (EPA), Southeastern Psychological Association (SEPA), Southwestern Psychological Association (SWPA) and Western Psychological Association (WPA). One award will also be given to students presenting at Association for Psychological Science (APS). Students are encouraged to use the presentation award on educational materials. 

The Society for Personality and Social Psychology has established a fund devoted to increasing diversity within personality and social psychology. As part of this initiative, eligible undergraduate students are invited to apply for an award that will cover the expense of registering for the SPSP annual conference. The SPSP Diversity and Climate Committee will also host a reception for award recipients during the conference (time and location to be announced). Undergraduate award winners are encouraged to attend this reception. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in psychology or be a graduate of such a program and currently working in areas related to psychology. Preference will be given to currently enrolled undergraduates.  Not have received this award in the past.  Be a member of an underrepresented group in social/personality psychology (these groups include, but are not necessarily limited to, ethnic and racial minorities; first-generation college students; lesbian, gay and bisexual students; transgendered students; and students with a physical disability).

The Society for Military Psychology (Division 19 of the American Psychological Association) announces its annual competition for Division 19 Student Research Grants. The purpose of the Division 19 Student Research Grant program is to assist graduate/undergraduate students of psychology with costs associated with conducting research. Up to two (2) Student Research Grants of $1500 each will be awarded in fall 2014. This annual award will be presented to students whose research reflects excellence in military psychology. The award winner(s) may request up to $750 in dedicated travel funds to aid with APA Convention attendance. While it is Division 19's goal that Student Research Grant award recipients receive the award at the annual convention and/or present their findings to Division 19 members, APA Convention attendance is not required.

The American Psychological Foundation's annual Violet and Cyril Franks Scholarship supports graduate-level scholarly projects that use psychology to help understand and reduce stigma associated with mental illness. The $5,000 scholarship is intended to support research which shows that stigma is a significant barrier to treatment and recovery for many of the fifty million Americans living with mental illness.

The American Psychological Association is accepting applications to its Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Fellowship program, which is designed to nurture young scholars interested in a career child psychology, including child-clinical, pediatric, school, educational, and developmental psychopathology.

The Lizette Peterson Homer Memorial Injury Research Grant supports research into psychological and behavioral aspects of the prevention of injuries in children and adolescents as reflected in the activities and interests within pediatric psychology of the late Lizette Peterson-Homer and her commitment to improving the status of children in the face of the most significant threats to their health and development. This grant is open to students and faculty to support research related to the prevention of injuries in children and adolescents. Funding is available up to $5,000 and is sponsored jointly by the American Psychological Foundation and APA Division 54.

The Psychology Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) is offering a limited number of travel grants, up to $250 each, for undergraduate students presenting original psychological research results at a regional or national, discipline-specific meeting. Award recipients are required to acknowledge CUR for support of their travel in their talk or poster, to complete a short evaluation in either written or video form about their meeting experience, and to submit a PDF file of their poster. Minority students are encouraged to apply.

The purpose of these two $500 awards is to recognize graduate students who use pedagogical strategies to promote science appreciation among undergraduate students. This includes the incorporation of research methodology in undergraduate teaching and the encouragement of critical and scientific thinking in examining psychological issues. This includes the integration of research methods into all topical areas and the demonstration that scientific observation is a process integral to all areas of psychology.

The intent of this grant is to fund innovative psychological science research projects. Students in all fields of psychology and neuroscience and are APAGS members are eligible to submit. Funds for this $1,000 scholarship must be used to support the proposed research. This grant may be used for thesis, dissertation or other research.

The purpose of the scholarship program is to assist graduate students of psychology with research costs.

Established by Psychoanalytic Psychology and the Board of the Division of Psychoanalysis, the award honors our esteemed colleague as well as a graduate student whose paper is deemed exemplary by a panel of judges. The award includes a $500 cash prize, plus $500 to cover expenses to attend and present at the Division Spring Meeting, as well as publication in Psychoanalytic Psychology.

SASP and Division 16 support students from under-represented cultural backgrounds as they endeavor to become a part of the inspiring profession of School Psychology. SASP and Division 16 are aware of the financial pressures that graduate students experience and thus, through generous support from Division 16, the Diversity Scholarship Program was created to provide monetary support to aid students from diverse cultural backgrounds entering the field. SASP offers the following three awards each year for student support: two incoming student awards in the amount of $500 and an advanced student award in the amount of $1,000.

The APA-IUPsyS Global Mental Health Fellowship provides an opportunity for a psychologist to spend one year at the World Health Organization (WHO), in the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, working on one or more issues related to the WHO Mental Health Action Plan. Pending funding approval in December 2014, the fellowship will provide a modest stipend for additional living costs in Geneva and fellowship-related travel that is intended to supplement the fellow's other, regular sources of income.

The annual program supports graduate-level scholarly projects that use a psychological perspective to increase understanding of and reduce stigma associated with mental illness. The $5,000 scholarship is intended to support research which shows that stigma is a significant barrier to treatment and recovery for many of the 50 million Americans living with mental illness. To be eligible, applicants must be a full-time graduate student in good standing at an accredited university and have demonstrated commitment to stigma issues.

The Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Fellowship program supports graduate research projects and scholarships in child psychology.

The recipient will be recognized at the annual meeting of the Division of Adult Development and Aging. Candidates are welcome from any area of the psychology of aging and adult development. The recipient will be presented with a plaque and a cash award at the Division 20 Business Meeting during the annual APA convention in the year the award is received.

This award recognizes a graduate student in clinical psychology who has made outstanding service contributions to the profession and the community.

Between one and three $500 grants are awarded each year. The in-progress research must significantly advance content knowledge, methodology, and/or theory in developmental psychology. Criteria include the project's importance, innovation, feasibility, funding needs, and likely contribution to the field, as well as the applicant's record.

Fellows receive an annual stipend of $30,000 for up to two years for completion of their dissertation and related research at their academic institution. Up to fifteen fellowships are awarded annually. Fellows must be enrolled in a doctoral program at an accredited academic institution in the United States and are selected from a range of academic disciplines, including but not limited to social work, public health, medicine, public policy, education, economics, psychology, and epidemiology.
