The Embassy of the United States in London invites eligible organizations to submit proposals to develop and implement a 10-day group exchange program to the United States for up to 10 UK youth educators to explore innovative approaches and best practices at teaching media literacy skills.

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia is pleased to announce an open competition for assistance awards through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for a pilot Program in Media Literacy. PAS invites organizations to submit proposals for an up-to- 24 months project to improve media literacy skills among young Georgians between the ages of 16 - 24 to include ethnic minorities and people at risk of being socially marginalized. Expected results include an increase of at least 20% in program participants' ability to distinguish trustworthy news from fake news and an increase of at least 20% in those who cross-check the information from the news.

By focusing on four complimentary program areas - Climate Change & Global Health, Independent Media, Measuring Progress and Animal Advocacy - the Glaser Progress Foundation aims to build a more just, sustainable and humane world. Through the annual program, grants are awarded in support of student thesis film projects at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The categories of eligible films include narrative/documentary/experimental/animation/hybrid work, as well as new work, including media installations, transmedia, webisodes, interactive Web work, and other projects where the moving image is the primary component.

The purpose of the Media Program is to strengthen the civically relevant role of media in democratic processes in Ukraine, and expand citizens' access to quality information in order to counter malign influence and support European integration. USAID/Ukraine will provide up to $35,000,000, subject to the availability of funds, for the five-year Program, of which at least 50% should be sub-granted to Ukrainian organizations.

Fellowships will be awarded to artists whose achievements have been recognized as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching. Applicants should be an early-career poet, novelist, choreographer, playwright, designer, performer, director, filmmaker, composer, or performance artist who would find it beneficial to spend two years teaching and working in an artistically vibrant university community.

Grants of up to $15,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations to underwrite the costs of advertising designed to promote the conservation and restoration of native wildlife, plants, and ecosystems in the United States. The funds may be used to fund the production of print, radio, or television ads; to pay for advertising space or airtime; or to produce or distribute pamphlets, books, videos, or press packets.

Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to projects that further understanding of Japanese arts and culture in the United States through the performing arts, exhibitions, film screenings, lectures, symposia, and other cultural events. The annual program offers young media professionals, age 40 and under, an opportunity to share their expertise with colleagues across the Atlantic while working as "foreign correspondents" for their hometown news organizations. Fellows can apply for a nine- or five-to-six-week program. Each U.S. fellow receives a $4,000 stipend to cover living expenses during a nine-week fellowship in Germany. Participants also receive $1,200 for travel expenses or a travel voucher, and the program will pay his/her living expenses during an orientation in Washington, D.C. Fellows on the five-to-six week program will receive an amount proportional to the length of their fellowship.

The National Endowment for the Humanities Division of Public Programs is currently accepting proposals for the Short Documentaries program. The Short Documentaries program supports documentary films up to 30 minutes that engage audiences with humanities ideas in appealing ways. The program aims to extend the humanities to new audiences through the medium of short documentary films. Films must be grounded in humanities scholarship. The Short Documentaries program can support single films or a series of thematically-related short films addressing significant figures, events, or ideas. Programs may be intended for regional or national distribution, via broadcast, festivals, and/or online distribution. The subject of the film(s) must be related to "A More Perfect Union": NEH Special Initiative Advancing Civic Education and Commemorating the Nation's 250th Anniversary.

Grant applications are open to individuals and NFP educational, cultural and/or social justice organizations for projects meeting our Mission's objectives that utilize Fine Arts, Dance, Music, Theater, Creative Writing, Poetry, Photography, or those that create Educational Reels (only) with teaching guides of documentaries or have Public Interest Platforms/Forums such as Independent Journalists or those NFPs which engage in community non-partisan discussions.

This program helps safeguard the basic freedoms guaranteed in our Bill of Rights, to help eliminate all forms of prejudice and discrimination, and to assist government agencies to be more accountable to the public. Chamber Music America has announced a Request for Proposals for the 2015 Presenter Consortium for Jazz, a grant program designed to provide support to consortiums of U.S. presenters that collectively engage up to three professional U.S. jazz ensembles to perform at each presenter's venue. A consortium consists of one lead presenter, two presenter partners, and up to three ensembles. The consortium presenters may be located within the same state but must be located in different cities or regional areas at least fifty miles apart. The ensembles may reside in the home state of a consortium partner, or be from elsewhere in the United States.
