MiamiOH OARS on 09 Oct 18PSC Partners Seeking a Cure is a nonprofit foundation whose mission is to provide education and support to patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis, their families, and their caregivers and to raise funds for research on the causes, treatments, and cures for PSC, an autoimmune disease that causes the bile ducts inside and outside the liver to become scarred, narrowed, and eventually blocked. The foundation offers grants of up to $60,000 over two years in support of projects that address a novel, basic, or clinical research question related to PSC and closely allied diseases (such as inflammatory bowel diseases, ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's disease) as they relate to PSC. Preference will be given to projects that have the potential to discover a cure for the disease and/or that identify novel therapies which may significantly delay time to liver transplantation, prevent disease recurrence following liver transplantation, and/or improve the quality of life of those with PSC.
