MiamiOH OARS on 05 Sep 14To that end, IADR, with support from Unilever, is accepting applications for the 2015 IADR Unilever Social Entrepreneur Approach to Change Oral Health Behavior Research Award (or SEA Change Research Award). The annual program, which includes an unrestricted grant of up to $75,000, is designed to stimulate scientific research aimed at improving behavior at the individual or community level with respect to oral health, with a particular emphasis on interventions targeted to disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. Examples of research areas of interest include but are not be limited to demonstrations of the effectiveness of social-entrepreneurial approaches to improving individual health decisions; expanding current behavioral change models; demonstrating the effectiveness of positive oral health messaging in a complex social milieu; and/or exploring the underlying social determinants of health, including oral health. Projects must be science-driven and focus on the evaluation of the effectiveness of an existing or proposed intervention at the individual or community level. Priority will be given to projects that focus on disadvantaged and vulnerable populations.
