The PRMRP Investigator-Initiated Research Award (IIRA) is intended to support studies that will make an important contribution toward research and/or patient care for a disease or condition related to at least one of the FY19 PRMRP Topic Areas. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant applications from small business concerns (SBCs) to address highly innovative methods and technologies that significantly advance the field of natural products.

CADS invites research proposals from Tenure/Tenure Track Faculty members for its 2018 Research Fellowships. The fellowships provide support for Miami's faculty on projects broadly related to the area of analytics and data science. CADS will fund one proposal up to $25,000 for one year in duration. Topics should address problems, challenges, or questions that emerge in response to larger, more diverse, higher volume data. Multidisciplinary proposals featuring researchers from different academic divisions are strongly encouraged, with a minimum expectation of researchers representing different academic departments. Proposals comprised only of researchers from within a single academic department will not be considered.

Understanding the critical role of establishing that independence early in one's career, it is expected that funds will be used to support untenured faculty or research scientists (or equivalent) in their first three years in a primary academic position after the PhD, but not more than a total of five years after completion of their PhD. The Loan Guaranty Service (LGY), which is an office of the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), is announcing the availability of funds for the Specially Adapted Housing Assistive Technology (SAHAT) Grant Program. The objective of the grant is to encourage the development of new assistive technologies for specially adapted housing. Veterans Affairs acknowledges there are many emerging technologies that could improve home adaptations or otherwise enhance a Veteran's or Servicemember's ability to live independently. Therefore, VA has defined ''new assistive technology'' as an advancement the Secretary determines could aid or enhance the ability of a Veteran or Servicemember to live in an adapted home. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) seeks grant applications to catalyze major advances in genomics through technology development (beyond developing nucleic acid sequencing technologies). The goal is to provide a mechanism for support of very novel and high impact work from across this gamut of genomics technology development. This initiative seeks to support technologies that will have a major impact in the next five to seven years.

Through this solicitation, OVC seeks to provide funding to organizations that demonstrate innovative strategies to create, expand, or enhance the use of technology on a national scale (or regional projects that can be replicated nationally) to improve responses, services, and access for victims of crime. OVC anticipates making up to three awards of up to $1.5 million each for a 24-month period of performance, to begin on October 1, 2020. DARPA is soliciting innovative research proposals in the area of advanced design and analysis tools that can establish cyber resiliency as an explicit system property. Proposed research should investigate innovative approaches that enable revolutionary advances in science, devices, or systems.

The CHASE program will address the challenges of protecting dozens of enterprise networks in a coordinated manner. Each month, users within enterprise networks generate an order of magnitude more cyber-relevant data than the total storage available for cyber security purposes, and the fraction of cyber data stored within distributed databases still exceeds analysis capabilities. Proposed research should focus on dynamic approaches to accelerate cyber hunting via extraction of the right data from the right device at the right time.
