When not signed in to Amara and when signed in to Amara, but not member of the NewsHour team: "Sorry, the page you requested was not found." + feedback form But in the navbar, the link is now labeled "German (100%)", as if they had been fixed.

Two of these exemption requests relate to closed captioning - one for IP based media and the other for fixed-disc based media. These exemptions will allow third parties to add or improve closed captioning on video programs without having to get permission from the copyright owner. ...." The linked-to text of the exemption request is remarkavly clear and could bevery useful model in similar cases in other countries.

How to avoid Amara-taskblocked subs in videos added to teams that have not activated tasks and workflows. Actually general, but tagged musiccaptioning for easier retrieval.

" Today= June 12, 2012 Amara software added link, disabled Edit subtitles link, didn't create a task To be expected, but I tried nonetheless to start these French subs because the English subs miraculously escaped the Amara software's overriding the Music Captioning settings and imposing ghost tasks, even though I edited the English subs on June 8, 2012.

Closely aligned to the DRM issue is that there are a multiplicity of e-book formats, many of which cannot be read on other devices. As with DRM, consumer frustration is bound to arise if readers have to jump through hoops to read legally purchased books. This is perhaps not a problem at the moment, when the bulk of e-reader owners are early adopters, yet it will become more acute when the devices are more widely disseminated among less tech-savvy users.
