Essential Elements Interactive is a website that pairs with the Essential Elements string method book. On this site, students can play exercises from the book along with accompaniment, track their practice time, and view assignments as well as a class calendar. The teacher and parents can communicate easily through this site as well.

This website is a great resource for music teachers and provides various ways to search and find specific resources to various concepts.

From these resources, you can learn how to record songs, use loops, create beats, create and publish podcasts and share MP3 files from Garageband. These online classes and tutorials provide step-by-step, easy to follow instructions for beginners.

Orcehstralbassoon.com is a website that answers a plethora of questions about the bassoon. The bassoon is an instrument that several band directors lack in their own ensembles. When they do have them, many of them do no know how to answer pertinent questions about how to properly play it. This website offers recordings, orchestral excerpts, fingering charts, pedagogical methods, history, and tips on reed making. This is an extremely valuable site for the school band director or orchestral director that wishes to promote good double reed players in their ensemble.

Discmakers at first may not seem like a good resource for music education, but upon further review, it is an excellent one for students learning about the music business and how recordings are distributed, especially on a DIY level in genres such as indie rock.
