It appears that vending machines for cabs may be the next frontier for the market, with both TaxiTreats and New Orleans Carriage Cab developing ways for passengers to buy products on the move. Vending machines appear to be a platform ripe for new innovation, and Springwise has seen numerous twists on the concept - from beer and wifi dispensers to machines that work only for adults.

No love for Comcast here, but imagine that every home with a broadband connection could "share" a WiFi connection (firewall protected from your home network). This could be done perhaps via software or even as a small piece of hardware (think Chromecast) that was given out for free.

Goodbye TV biz.

This seems to be a trend among restaurants according to the article, McDonald's was the first.  I think this could be good for sponsorship's, companies can offset this cost by allowing partners to sponsor their free wi-fi?

Ok so I thought this was sort of interesting when I first saw it, but now I think it's really interesting due to the following:    -"And this fall it will launch the Starbucks Digital Network, a partnership with Yahoo that will provide customers free unrestricted access to pay sites such as the Wall Street Journal. Additional content providers in the new, in-store network offering include iTunes, The New York Times, Patch, USA Today and Zagat."
