There can be few things that feel more liberating than sitting in the saddle, powering yourself along many times faster than you could walk, yet just as able to feel with wind in your hair, while smelling the scents of the flowers or the sea air. Yet you can take a stop whenever you feel like it to explore some point of interest, enjoy a spot of lunch or visit one of the many historic buildings dotted around Wales.

Alas, cool air is on the horizon. Summer was great, but Fall is what Pisgah is all about. Dry, crisp, sunny days filled with "did you see that?" While the leaves begin to fall and the trails become slip and slides, we at the Hub want to say thank you. Thanks for a great summer! On Sunday October 14th, we are going to hold our annual Fall Fiesta.

The Hub at Backcountry Outdoors is conveniently located at the entrance to Pisgah National Forest. The Hub offers a great line of mountain bikes, great service, and the latest in demos and rentals. The helpful and energetic staff is ready for anything. The HUB was established in 1992. Backcountry Outdoors was started in the 1990s. Then in 2007 the Bike shop was bought out of Backcountry Outdoors and The Hub was started. Then, in 2010 the owners of The Hub bought the rest of Backcountry Outdoors.Now the businesses have merged and expanded, and added The Pisgah Tavern with six beers on tap.

Bicycles are available for you to use, but you will need to supply your own helmet, should you wish to wear one.Learning as a group is great fun and our instructors are patient and encouraging.

Great! We understand there is a large level of commitment involved with buying.
