Unknown to many… There is an abundance of Highland Cold Mountain Winter Ale still available! It came at a cost: The hoarder, who remains unnamed, sacrificed much to make this discovery and share it with others. So…. Alas, cool air is on the horizon. Summer was great, but Fall is what Pisgah is all about. Dry, crisp, sunny days filled with "did you see that?" While the leaves begin to fall and the trails become slip and slides, we at the Hub want to say thank you. Thanks for a great summer! On Sunday October 14th, we are going to hold our annual Fall Fiesta.

Thinking about buying a bike? - 0 views

  •
Great! We understand there is a large level of commitment involved with buying. Sure it may not be as big as having your first child, but it's still something that you need to think about and weigh your options - especially with all the bikes on the market. Mountain Bikes are OK for pavement (with a tire change of course) but are best for rocky and dirt trails and single track paths through the woods and gravel roads.

The HUB - Jonathan Angermeier - 0 views

Jonathan Angermeier has always been drawn to the mountains. He was raised on bikes, kayaks and anything that involved being outside. Sam and Jordan hired him back when the shop was in its old location. In the time the shop was getting settled into its new location Jonathan was living out in Bellingham, WA. This past summer he stopped through while on a promotional trip with Freehub Magazine. Jordan said to Jonathan "I got a job for you if you want it" so I said "deal!" It sure is good to be back in Pisgah.

Niner Air 9 Carbon: Tested - 0 views

29″ wheels on a bike…? I was a hater, straight up. The first wagon-wheeled bikes made tandem recumbent look like a better time. A 29er hardtail was like a healthy doughnut, you just knew it wasn't any good. With time and acceptance came a whole new breed of 29″ wheeled bikes. Traditional trail bike and gravity oriented company's began stamping out designs. With just the right amount of timing, like playing the stock market, the moment to bite was here. Mike Stanley, our Niner Bikes rep, had the right bait on the hook and set it.

Jordan, a recent mom, holds her own on a bicycle. She started mountain biking in college and instantly fell in love with it. Mountain biking led to road riding, which became her passion. With thousands of miles logged on the saddle, Jordan is no longer a novice at the sport. Her favorite rides include: Parkway Climbs on the roady, Black Mountain, Long Branch, Bennett Gap, Dupont rides, and any other road ride because she gets to watch Sam huff and puff behind her.
