In this LearnerScript features explanatory short video you will see how we can check any particular Moodle course-related top 10 Quizzes activity details using the LearnerScript tool. Let's dive into the video now! In this LearnerScript Quizzes Dashboard, we can see the Quizzes summary table that contains details such as Quiz Names, its associated Course name, average grade, Pass grade, max grade, attempted, in-progress and Completed learners, total attempts, total time spent, and Number of Views details. Let's check the top 10 quiz participation details based on total attempts for this Financial management Capstone course table. To do so You need to limit the table results to 10 then you need to sort this table by total attempts in descending order! You can see here the top 10 quizzes for financial management capstone course details. here you can see "Financial Management Capstone Quiz 1" is the top attempted quiz and followed by other quizzes! You can also see the total time spent on "Financial Management Capstone Quiz 1'. Once you click on the "Number of views" value for this particular quiz then you can see further details for this quiz activity view related to individual learners view counts as well. Now, let's add a chart for this report to see the top 10 quizzes summary report in graphical format! Click on the "Add Graph" option from above to add this chart. As you can see this chart is showing all the quiz participation details. To limit the records to only the top 10 quizzes, you need to click on the edit graph option then you need to sort by total attempts in descending order and limit the records to ten. Let's check the top 10 most & least participated Moodle forums based on Forum discussion counts in this "Forum participation report" table.   • The points students bring up are thought-provoking. However, I'm most impressed by the questions they ask one another. They clarify and ask follow-up questions. They make inferences. They ask connecting questions and critical thinking questions. It's a messy process, but it's beautiful messy. It's art.
  • As long as a question is respectful, I want students to question their world. This applies to analyzing mathematical processes, thinking through social issues, making sense out of a text or analyzing the natural world for cause and effect.
  • Three times a week, we do inquiry days, where students begin with their own question in either social studies or science and they research it, summarize it and then ask further questions. While my initial goal involved teaching bias, loaded language and summarization, I soon realized that students were growing the most in their ability to ask critical thinking questions.

  • I require students to ask questions before, during and after reading.
  • Sometimes I'll ask a really lame question and then say, "Someone tell my why that question sucked?" or I'll ask a deeper question and say, "Why was that a hard question to answer?" The goal is to get them to see deeper questions and to also think about why a question is deep or shallow.
  • Feedback on questions: I highlight their questions in Google Docs and leave comments on their blogs with very specific feedback.
  • Some students have a really hard time with questioning strategies.
  • I teach students about inquiry, clarifying, critical thinking and inference questioning.
  • Students sometimes ask me questions. Other times they ask partners or small group questions. Still other times they ask the questions to the whole class.
  • Technology allows students to take their time in crafting a question while having access to the questions of their peers.
