Chinese radio stations online. There are many to choose from--including Chinese news (in English and Chinese), and popular music. Stations can be chosen through individual Chinese cities, too.
We are using open source teleconferencing technology to conduct 1-on-1 and group classes via video, voice, flash technology for displaying Chinese characters and shared whiteboard where the teacher & student can observe each other's Chinese writing capabilities. In addition, we offer video clips of Chinese culture events also. As student learn the language, and they will be able to learn the Chinese culture as well.

The Pinyin tutor is an online tool that promotes Chinese learners in their phonological perception (including the perception of Chinese tones, initials, finals, etc.). Through a series of online Pinyin dictation tasks and corresponding feedback, the tutor helps students be conscious of their errors and thus improve their phonological perception in Chinese eventually.
Simple Mandarin can be learned phonetically in English, and the Chinese characters are also given at the end. It seems quite simple, and put together in a way that's easy to understand.

For the past seventeen years, the East Asian Studies Program at Princeton University has sponsored an annual conference on Chinese language instruction. We are pleased to announce that we are holding another conference this year, on Saturday, April 24, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We invite proposals for presentations concerning research on Chinese language learning and teaching."
