"Princeton's 18th Conference on Chinese Lanugage Instruction 2010普林斯顿大学对外汉语教 学研讨会 Saturday, April 24, 2010 For the past seventeen years, the East Asian Studies Program at Princeton University has sponsored an annual conference on Chinese language instruction. We are pleased to announce that we are holding another conference this year, on Saturday, April 24, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We invite proposals for presentations concerning research on Chinese language learning and teaching."

"This project involves the construction of an Arabic WordNet, following the development process of Princeton WordNet and Euro WordNet. It utilizes the Suggested Upper Merged Ontology as an interlingua to link Arabic WordNet to previously developed wordnets."

This wordnet spans over 17,200 manually validated concepts/synsets, that are made of over 21,000 word senses/word forms and 16,000 lemmas from both European and American variants of Portuguese.These concepts are aligned with the translationally equivalent concepts of the English Princeton WordNet and, transitively, of the MultiWordNets of Italian, Spanish, Hebrew, Romanian and Latin.

"WordNet® is a large lexical database of English, developed under the direction of George A. Miller. Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms (synsets), each expressing a distinct concept. Synsets are interlinked by means of conceptual-semantic and lexical relations. The resulting network of meaningfully related words and concepts can be navigated with the browser. WordNet is also freely and publicly available for download. WordNet's structure makes it a useful tool for computational linguistics and natural language processing."

Al-Khazina is an interactive database for the study of Islamic Culture, particularly in the early centuries. We developed it for use in university courses on a wide range of topcs in Islamic civilization,and from introductory through advanced levels.
