Constructivism in practice: The case for meaning-making in the virtual world This study examined whether constructivist practices in the classroom help students make deeper, more meaningful knowledge constructions than those derived from traditional classroom practices. This chapter describes the relationship between the learning theory known as constructivism, the semiotic theory of signs, and the use of 3-D interactive environments as a constructivist learning tool.

I like this but I do hesitate with the technology in the classroom because we rely a lot on the tech and when it fails we are then scrambling to get it back up. Many times when technology crashes we are out for several hours. However... I do like this type of learning and engagement with the ability to communicate with learners and teachers. Including the interactive school information.

Cool video, I hadn't seen that before though I've thought through those same ideas he brings up many times. I'm not sure the iTouch is the tool, but I think the iPad might be the tool/type of tool that makes his idea a lot more achievable.
