Why I Like Mixx @ chrisg.com - 0 views

  • Mixx is a relatively unknown Social Bookmarking site.
  • Obviously most people are going to ask how much traffic it sends. On that score it is not brilliant in comparison to Digg or even StumbleUpon, of course not, it is early days, but it does send a bit. It fact for me it has performed better than Reddit and Sphinn, which are sites often recommended in the SMO space

» Get to Know Your Learners (And Avoid These Pitfalls) The Rapid eLearning Blog - 0 views

  • That event was one of my best learning experiences.  It reinforced the need to meet with learners and understand their world.  It also opened my eyes to think beyond the obvious.  A big pitfall is that we tend to rest in the familiar. Without the time on the floor, I would have built a functional course, but missed the opportunity to make real improvements on their performance.

Why the world needs SEOs (or - Google only works in an efficient market) - 0 views

  •
Google's algorithm really only works in an efficient market. Think of Google as you might the DOW Jones Industrial Average, an algorithm that tracks the performance of the stocks within its portfolio. What would the Dow reflect if 5 of the companies had ineffective CFOs who are incapable of reporting the company's finances properly? Their stocks would inaccurately reflect the value of the company and the algorithm would fail to accurately report the results of the portfolio.
