The Niks services....: * Marketing of marketing - 0 views

  •
Marketing is a societal process that is needed to discern consumers' wants; focusing on a product/service to those wants, and to mould the consumers towards the products/services. Marketing is fundamental to any businesses growth. The marketing teams (Marketers) have the task to create the consumer awareness of the products/services through marketing techniques; if a business does not pay attention to their products/services and their consumers' demographics, the business would not be able to endure longevity.

But with increasing competition, we’ll have to work even harder to deserve and retain reader attention through relevant quality content. Do you agree, or better, disagree? • Perry shared many lessons learned, and chose to focus people’s attention on the pitfalls of PMs (in addition to their power). Implementation can take a long time. It’s a change management process. Asking the wrong questions can be a killer, but often the right questions emerge after trading begins. Poor incentive structures is the #1 killer, according to Perry. Don’t suppress the reputational incentives associated with PMs. Be explicit and transparent about how traders will be compensated.

The Magical Number Seven - 0 views

  • And finally, what about the magical number seven? What about the seven wonders of the world, the seven seas, the seven deadly sins, the seven daughters of Atlas in the Pleiades, the seven ages of man, the seven levels of hell, the seven primary colors, the seven notes of the musical scale, and the seven days of the week? What about the seven-point rating scale, the seven categories for absolute judgment, the seven objects in the span of attention, and the seven digits in the span of immediate memory? For the present I propose to withhold judgment. Perhaps there is something deep and profound behind all these sevens, something just calling out for us to discover it. But I suspect that it is only a pernicious, Pythagorean coincidence.

  • If a hotel (or company) really wanted to be environmentally friendly they would also pay attention to the major environmental contributors including: energy efficient lighting, water conservation, heating and cooling systems, mass transit for employees and guests. As well as all the small things that add up... (e.g. use pitchers, pourers, and small bowls to serve milk, sugar, butter and jelly - instead of all that plastic packaging).

  • With an industry standard hovering around 1 to 2 percent, most sites are failing to capture all the business they can have. Once a company makes a commitment to boost its conversion rate, there are several key areas it needs to monitor to measure whether its efforts are successful.

Narrowing Gap between Face-to-Face and Online Presentations : eLearning Technology - 0 views

  • What struck me is how the gap is narrowing between face-to-face and online events. You could usually rely on a fully attentive audience face-to-face while bemoaning the ease with which multitasking occurs online. The reality is that the same phenomenon is now occurring in each setting.
