Two people just played 20 questions by reading each other's thoughts - 0 views

  •
Scientists in the US have linked up the brains of participants almost 1.5 km apart, allowing them to play a 20 questions-style game using nothing but their thoughts. This is the first experiment to demonstrate that two brains can be linked up directly to allow one person to accurately guess what's on the other's mind, and it's a pretty huge deal.

  •
When my first book, The FabYOUList, was published, my publicists recommended that I become more active on social media in order to build buzz and grow my audience. Never one to do things halfway, I quickly turned my personal Facebook page into a "Public Figure" page and signed up for Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Tumblr, and Google+.

What is Tor? A Beginner's Guide to the Deep Web | Digital Trends - 1 views

  •
I came across this, thought it is pretty interesting. Basically TOR which is a free program, allows someone's location to be hidden when surfing the net. TOR's developer Torproject.Inc claims that they are out there to help defend traffic analysis which is a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom, privacy and so on. You can go to their website if you want to know more about them. Otherwise, the above is a simple guide to how TOR works. (https://www.torproject.org/)

Western Digital's wireless backup drives get a better look and a better app - The Verge - 0 views

  •
This is more of a sponsored post/Ad than it is a real new story, but it is still interesting to see how personal storage is changing. These hard drives being sold by Western Digital are able to back-up local files and then allow those files to be accessed from anywhere, while still keeping your data off of the servers of a large company.
