With the tagline "scalable innovations for communities," nuPOLIS "is the Internet presence of the Innovation Network for Communities (INC), a national non-profit helping to develop and spread scalable innovations that transform the performance of community systems such as education, energy, land use, transportation and workforce development.

Located within the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, the Center for Social Innovation (CSI) works to "build and strengthen the capacity of individuals and organizations to develop innovative solutions to social problems."

This site bills itself as "your one stop shop for higher education news, collaboration and innovation." There are a variety of resources (websites, videos, webinars, etc.), as well as forums and groups. Because the site promotes collaboration, membership is encouraged.

However, their 15-month start-up grant is coming to an end, and this organization that concentrates on social innovation must decide how -- and if -- they will move forward. Stay tuned to see what happens.

This organization works with New York City public schools to establish innovative strategies that make success more likely for struggling students. The organization offers a website, The KnowledgeBase (https://knowledgebase.newvisions.org), that offers toolkits, strategies, resources and networking.
