The purpose of the site was to gather information about running. The intended audience was ones interested in running. The only thing that attracted me was the title. after that everything else was not "cool." The content format was scattered. You had to bounce around looking for information. Overabundance of content topics requiring a fee. Way too much advertisement. The websit was crammed. Too much of nothing.

Oil on canvas painting by Edgar Degas created around 1872. This painting has an orchestral pit view and appears to have adopted a very mature style of depicting the art form.

Overview: Its sponsored by NCTM, it is an easy website to use for students in K-8. There are powerpoints and videos to talk the user how to work the website. I would highly recommend this website to use in classrooms. Content: This website is targeted at the children but there are family as well as teacher activities. It is nice how they have print off worksheets for teachers to use in their classrooms. This site focuses on math, and covers algebra, geometry, measurements, numbers, and probability and statistsics. Design: This site is very easy to use, you can tell its targeted for the students due to the simplicity and kid friendly images that are on the homepage. The site is very appealing and if I was a (elementary) student I would be interested in playing around on this site.

Jaymes Talkington January 23, 2010 http://www.loc.gov/index.html Content This site is full of collections of books, newspapers, videos, and other documents on thousands of historical events and people that are kept in the Library of Congress. There are resources for kids, librarians, publishers, researchers, teachers, and visitors. all of the informational documents found on the site come with citations, and since the information is in the Library of Congress it is most likely creditable. There is also a link that allows you to ask some of the librarians specific question. Design The front page of the web site is pretty easy to use considering there are many specific areas to click on depending what your use of the site will be. Everything is clearly identified on the front page. It didn't take unusually long to load either, and all the other links I tried came up pretty fast as well. The "search" bar at the top of the front page makes it easy to find exactly what you are looking for. It may take some time to download copies of texts, but the videos don't take long at all. There is no advertising on any of the videos I observed so it gets right to the chosen subject. Overview This site's purpose is to make the Library of Congress's information available to anyone without leaving their home. Their audience can include kids, librarians, publishers, researchers, teachers, and visitors. The resources on this site include digital copies of books and journals, and also educational videos. Overall the cite seems like an accurate and easily accessible source of historical information.

Color Theory Lesson: Complementary Colors - 1 views

  • the three primary colors are in the corners. The color you get by mixing two primaries is between them (red and yellow make orange; red and blue make purple; yellow and blue make green). The complementary color of a primary color is the color opposite it (green is the complementary of red, orange for blue, and purple for yellow).

Mary Magnuson, The Website http://www.amnh.org/education/resources/rfl.php?set=b&topic_id=4&subtopic_id=60&intro=false is great. It is organized really well. The downloads are really fast, and all of the ones I tried worked. It is geared towards both the student and the teacher. They are resources that can be used in the classroom, or you can assign students to go there, and there are specific directions with pictures that the students could follow. It is also organized based on grade levels. The content is also good, and from the museum of natural history, so it is reliable. It helps organize deep concepts into easy to understand models.
