   Evernote has a new free app on the App Store which makes use of the Smart Cover to help with learning.  With Evernote Peek,  can fold back the cover to reveal questions and then even further to reveal the answers.       This is great for students who wish to create flashcards to help practice information. To create new practice materials, they simply need to create a new note and add the questions to the title and the answers to the body text. 

APPLE DESIGN AWARD WINNER 2011! One of only 50 apps in the App Store Hall of Fame, Pulse is a beautiful application that makes reading news fun and engaging. Pulse takes your favorite websites and transforms them into a colorful and interactive mosaic. Tap on an article to see a clean and elegant view of the news story. Save stories for reading later across all platforms or sync them with Instapaper, Read it Later and Evernote. Sharing a story via Facebook, Twitter and email is as easy as two taps.

On top of all the other Apple news from the other week, there was also a "silent" release of a new tool called the "Apple Configurator". Think of it as a mixture of the Apple Xcode, iTunes and iPCU applications all wrapped into one.

For educators using iPads in the classroom, Happi Papi offers an Education Evaluation Program. Educational institutions that are members of the program will receive free versions of all new Happi Papi apps being launched. When a new app is available, Happi Papi will email a code so that you may install and evaluate the app on your iPad for free.

The National Science Foundation's (NSF) Science360 for iPad provides easy access to engaging science and engineering images and video from around the globe and a news feed featuring breaking news from NSF-funded institutions. Content is either produced by NSF or gathered from scientists, colleges and universities, and NSF science and engineering centers.
