The purpose of this policy is to provide safe parameters for exploring digital resources and using school-issued devices properly. The article talks about the importance of developing internet use guidelines that students can understand by avoiding overly complicated words that may confuse or intimidate students. These guidelines should focus on how students should use the technology rather than focusing on what they should not be doing. The article also focuses on the importance of involving parents and helping them understand how their children should be using technology. Furthermore, the article mentions the importance of being aware of the new apps and their implications in the lives of students. This allows school districts to stay one step ahead and decide whether or not they want students to have access to these apps.

This constructive article written by Nicole Krueger stresses the importance of developing student's abilities to tell their stories through the use of many technological mediums, focusing primarily on video. In today's digital age, sharing our stories or work with the world is an integral part of making learning meaningful and positioning oneself to take place in digital society. While many teachers are still hesitant to integrate video projects into their curriculum, "creating a video can provide an authentic learning experience that brings together critical skills, such as analytical thinking, problem solving and collaboration." Therefore, I think this article is very helpful to our class and other educators alike as it promotes the use of technology in a very creative, innovative, and opportunistic way for students to think beyond the classroom, develop essential abilities, and strive for excellence. The progression of utilizing video projects in the classroom can only implicate stronger motivation for students to exercise technological tools as a major pathway of transferring their learned knowledge and skills to real world application.

This was a great idea and could be a tremendous help to anyone need a technological helper in their creative writing class or if the class is new and not comfortable with each other yet. Project ReImaginED is a contest for teachers to show off their ways of infusing technology into their classrooms in order to win. Winchester's idea allowed the students to express their ideas without having to share their identity so some may be more inclined to say more than the usual, "It was nice. I liked it." When they have to workshop their peers. Project ReimaginED "allows teachers to see what their peers have already or plan to implement in their classrooms and encourages teachers to try technologies in ways they have never imagined." It does not say what the prize is for winning.

This is a good example of how a teacher used technology and tech tools to not only teach her students but coincide with the common core curriculum. Her tip is to use an assignment that her students can use to complete as a grade as well as understanding and focusing on analytical thinking, decoding a document, and being able to explain a math problem.

This article outlines new improvements for teacher professional development, involving newer technology upgrades.  One key point of the article was the passing of the Enhancing Education Through Technology, or (EETT) state grant program, which includes a $650 million stimulus package to upgrade technology in classrooms across the country.  Funding is also provided to train the teachers to properly use the technology to its fullest capacity, this way educators can have confidence using these new tools.

Today students are expected to learn analytical skills for preparation for work and life in the 21st century. Teachers are expected to teach way that develops those skills. President Obama and congressional leaders included 650 million dollars. 25% had to be used to buy the most updated technology for students. International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) states "It would be "silly" not to keep up with the changes of the world today" National Staff Development Council says we have failed as a nation to meet highly effective professional learning. Today 18 states (4,200 teachers) were recognized for technology integration in the classrooms. Enhancing Missouri's Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies (eMINTS) is a program that aims to create classrooms where all students are motivated to succeed, build enthusiasm and creativity. eMINTS trained 3,500 teachers and 300 administrators since its formation in 1999. In the 21st century student will have a difficult time succeeding without technology. The article states "Technology integration in the end, is not really about technology, but rather the life skills it instills in students and teachers."

This article discusses the importance of Technology integration. Effective tech integration is achieved when the use of technology becomes second nature or routine and when technology supports goals. This article also explains the importance of technology in school so that student can be intellectually challenged while providing them with an accurate picture office looks like. Bringing Technology into classrooms will keep the children to engaged which in turn reduce behavioral problems.

This article talks about why technology should be integrated into the curriculum. Technology integration will help students gain the skills they need for our world which is highly technological. Effective technology in the classroom can deepen and enhance the learning process. The are four key components of learning include: active engagement, participation in groups, frequent interaction and feedback, and connection to real-world experts. In every minute of our lives technology is being utilized in some kind of way. It is the most engaging tool that been created and what bteter way to teach children then with what they love the most. Technology being integrated into the curriculum is the best thing for the students since they are already glued to different tools. Which makes it an effective learning style. It has enhanced subject areas and the minds of teachers and students. It has created a teacher-student relationship which is far beyond the classrooms. It makes group assignment or individual assignment fun and creative. It has changes everything from how teachers teach, students learn, and different ways of assessment. It provides students with an advantage of how the real world operates on a daily basis. It has also changed how we communicate and how often we now communicate. It has made connecting with other students around the world possible. It gives immediate feedback which keeps students and teachers engaged

The extension about keeping students organized seems really cool, its something that I would even use on my own computer!

I liked this site. I even downloaded the MYSTUDYLIFE app because I thought it may be helpful in the final stretch of the semester.

This extension is also available as an app for either iphone or android. It is wonderful for people (busy students) always on the run. It can easily organize lists and reminders for you. When you use it as an extension you can click on the extension and quick view all of your tasks. It can sync your tasks and lists to your other device. You can add reminders, red flags, and prioritize your information, etc.. In addition, you can voice your requests into the app and organize that request.

This had a lot of good resources for teachers. The grammarly site would be useful to me in particular as a student and teacher.

As time goes on we will see less and less paper in the classroom. OneNote is a digital three-ring binder. This program is used as a way of interaction between teachers and students. OneNote has three different sections which are collaboration space, content library and the student's private space. Taking advantage of the new technological advances is good because the more you know of a program, the more efficient you will be able to be.

This article introduces the idea of classrooms going completely paperless. The idea behind going paperless is amazing. The impact that it would have on the environment and on student's learning abilities is something that needs to happen. By using Microsoft's OneNote, teachers can connect with students in a different way. In many ways our INTC class is paperless already. 

This article is great for any new teachers or for any teachers that want to advance their technological teaching skills. It explains in a step-by-step way that is easy to understand from integration to evaluating the new methods. The article also goes into describe Digital Learning Day, a day that inspires educators to utilize technology in teaching to give students "access to high-quality digital learning opportunities, no matter where they live".

This article explains what holographic technology is and how it can be possibly be used in classrooms in the future. Microsoft has created products that allowed used to interact with 3D images, and while not available as of yet, have impressive applications for a classroom setting. For example, this futuristic technology would allow students to virtually conduct science experiments that would otherwise be too difficult or expensive to conduct in real life. The learning process as a whole could be greatly improved with the use of holographic technology.

I found this article perfect because it relates to what we are presently doing in class. This is useful information because some student have a hard time writing down ideas on paper, or even writing at all. These apps could help students think of ideas, strategies, and give them useful tips for writing. This article shows technology integration in classrooms through the use of iPads.

I found a great article about using iPad Apps to enhance creative writing for students. Some students struggle with writing. Often, they have difficulty formulating their ideas and putting the pen to paper. For these students, writing is daunting task. For example, some sites change or update their site. So make sure to check once in awhile. Make sure you have an understanding and now what to do. With things that you are sometimes unsure with, make sure to try to get help with it from someone that may know.

The best point made was that the more preservice teachers are trained in technology the more they tend to use it in the classroom!

I like this article a lot because it has to do with integrating technology in high-school. Most articles are directed at elementary school teachers and how to make it fun for the kids. Well adding a game or an activity that is fun for a ten year old is not going to please a sixteen year old. Most examples of integrating technology are examples of elementary school activities too. So this article is a nice refreshing take on how to integrating technology in high-school.

Use the Hightlight extension to highlight important text on specific web pages in different colors! This would be extremely helpful in classrooms, especially when teaching students how to research and find important words and phrases in text!

This definitely seems like a useful tool, not only for teachers but for people who want to share certain parts of an article. I always feel like sharing certain parts of article or stories with friends is tricky to achieve online, but this seems like it would make it much easier, and the fact that there are multiple different colors to choose from makes it that much better
