Picasa is a great application by Google, it allows you to upload and edit photos. A great web 2.0 tool that could be implemented into an activity. I love using Picasa, since photography is one of my many hobbies!

I love using Picasa! Every since I learned about it I use it for personal editing and professional editing! It's so easy to manipulate and very fun! I think that both students would love using this as an interactive tool in a class! I also think that it's fun and great for teachers to use as well!

I've used Picasa before and it seemed simple enough to use. I think the upper elementary grades would definitely be capable of using this but I would maybe wonder if something like iPhoto would be a little easier for them to use? I've had a little better experience with that. If you were trying to get teachers to use the software I also think iPhoto might make them a little nervous about using photo editing programs. People tend to have good thoughts more often than not when they think of Apple.

Kim, I really enjoy this website! I like how this website is also split up by grade levels! This makes it so much easier for teachers to search for resources. I think it is so awesome how it has a bunch of different photos and information! This seems like a really useful website! I can't wait to check it out more! -Austin

What an awesome way to introduce or re-ignite excitement about the periodic table! I can certainly see students using this in the classroom. Also, how motivating to be able to use their cellphone or tablet!!

Animoto is a free Web 2.0 tool that allows you to create beautiful videos online by just inserting your own images and video clips! Easy and fun to use; students can easily create exciting videos and presentations using the preset videos and customizing them!

Smithsonian website with resources and information about oceans, science, etc; features an "Educator's Corner" with lesson plans and activities.

Erin this looks like a great site for students who want to learn about the ocean. When I visited it I noticed just how easy the site was to navigate. Super simple for people who might now be to tech savvy. Everything was laid out in an easy to read manner. The articles looked fun and full of information. If I ever became a teacher and we were learning about the ocean this would be a huge help, because the Smithsonian is one of the most prestigious organizations in the world. The Smithsonian has many different interactive website that deal with all different parts of our planet, and the ocean is just on small sliver of their knowledge.

I really liked this website, and I remember liking the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, itself. The site is very user-friendly for both teachers and students.

National Geographic's page for AP Human Geography. Includes resources divided out by unit topic. This will provide great, online resources for students to delve deeper into subject material through extension activities.

Evidence of students programming their own apps. While I can't teach them how, I can encourage them. Hoping to use this in AP to develop a program for building a city.
