Thanks for sharing! My professional experience will be in a Preschool setting so it is wonderful to see how other Preschool educators have been integrating ICTs and a rationale behind their use. I've read a few articles now regarding ICT in Preschool settings an it is interesting to note that most have been from NZ! The importance their country places on ECE is amazing and obvious from these articles! Very high quality practice and passionate educators it seems. Emma

Great app for young students to create their own digital texts with.

This is a great app when I was on a placement I saw this in use it was a wonderful tool and the students were very engaged creating some amazing work.

I found out today that there is a green screen in the classroom I will be going to for placement... I had never even considered this was available in schools! really looking forward to using it.

A wonderful article regarding a NZ based project in which a number of preschool educators embraced ICT within their practice and documented the process. Lots of ideas of how to incorporate ICTs into the preschool context.

This was a very interesting read. I had always been hesitant with the idea of ICT and early childhood but this article really interested me. I had always considered ICT in early childhood as children on iPads. This article has really broadened my perception and has given ideas of transformative learning using ICTs. The use of microphones for children practising their oral language is particularly interesting as I have come across many children in early childhood centres who are hesitant to talk.

This app looks cool for encouraging reading and writing. They can read stories created by other students I think.

I thought this was a very interesting read. There are some really good intervention programs out there.

A great way to begin implementing ICT in a whole school approach, if only all schools had the funding and ability to make this happen.

These Know-Wonder-Learn charts are an excellent resource for accessing students prior knowledge on a particular subject and brainstorming new understanding. These charts could be used for students learning in all subjects and years.

FYI there is an app series called Tools 4 Students that has a range of graphic organisers including KWL charts that students can complete and share through the app.

I came across a fantastic app for students called 'Popplet' which is a tool for students to make graphic organizers to visually represent their ideas and thoughts on a particular topic. This app can be used for sharing and collaborating and is an effective pedagogical tool to use in all learning areas.

I used Popplet the first time last week during class and I must say, it is a fantastic app. The students enjoyed brainstorming ideas through the use of this digital tool and were probably the most quiet they'd been all week. I will definitely be exploring this app in greater depth and using it in the classroom whenever the opportunity arises. Thankyou for sharing.
