Apparently an easy to use tool that scaffolds the creation of images, banners and other graphical images ...."enables anyone to become a designer". Could be useful for Assignment 1's IT artefact. But also if designing posters, slides etc in your own teaching (or other assignments).

These can really help to bring your classrtoom alive by creating an engaging, collaborative environment.

A great tool that I'd never heard of before. Allows you to integrate a range of video, audio and content from just about anywhere on the web.

Tecnology doing great things in autism!!

Isn't it incredible what technology is doing for people with autism! Imagine what it would have been like for them 50years ago? 20 years ago? Even ten years ago!!! This knowledge is so crucial as a special needs teacher, there could be nonverbal students in the class who have deeper communication desires and intellectual abilities than we realise! This opens so many doors and opportunities for them, allowing them to participate in class, make learning their own, to engage in conversations and learn in a whole new way!! What a really useful tool that could be so easily incporporated in a classroom. Interesting article on how apps are being trailed in classrooms in 2013. Five apps are recommended and I have had positive experiences with Edmodo in particular as it is being used by my sons teachers.

Thanks Taylor. I saw some of your suggestions too and am adding your Brain pop resource to my tool belt. I have seen this used in classrooms- very effective on smart boards especially for visual and kinaesthetic learners. I saw Brain pop used for a Unit on 'tall buildings'. The explanations, quiz, printout and games were a very engaging part of the lesson.

Goo.gl is like Tiny URL and shortens your url so that it fits and is more presentable in environments such as Twitter and Prezi.
